A deep-sea art exhibition for museums

A temporary exhibition that joins art and natural history. Creatures of the deep sea are drawn as living glass, lit from within, and each comes with its scientific name, its depth, its range and short facts checked against their sources.

What the exhibition brings

  • From forty-five works in a room of 100 m² to nearly three hundred in a hall of 900 m².
  • Wall texts and captions written to be read aloud, for families as well as adult visitors.
  • The book shown beside the works and sold in the museum shop.
  • Designed, built and hung by the artist’s team, and made to tour.

How it works

  1. You write to us with your venue, its size and possible dates.
  2. We send the presentation and suggest the design that fits your space.
  3. The plan is redrawn for your real rooms, and the selection of works is agreed.
  4. The artist’s team produces the works and installs the exhibition.
  5. The opening, with the artist present and the book launched.

Questions

How long does a showing run?

Usually a season of three to six months. A returning exhibition can show a completely new selection, since each of the 101 creatures has three plates.

Who installs the exhibition?

The artist’s team designs the route, produces the works and hangs them, working with your technical staff on power, lighting and safety.

Can it be adapted to our rooms?

Yes. Every plan in the presentation is redrawn for the real walls, doors, power and escape routes of the venue.

What material do we receive for our public?

Pictures and texts for the invitation, the press and your website, wall texts and captions, and the book to show and sell beside the works.
